You might be wondering if you need a multivitamin to help you to lose weight faster. Or are you harming your body by not taking one. With the sheer amount of vitamin on the market and each marketer touting his vitamin as the best vitamin it is enough to make you just want to put up your hands and cry enough.
It seems as if everyone has gotten on the vitamin or supplement bandwagon and if you are like most people you have bough vitamin and supplement from a slew of these guys and you cannot tell which is which anymore or even if popping these super pills is working or not.

The first question to ask is why we really need vitamins. The answer to that is that our bodies need vitamins and mineral for normal growth and functioning. If we do not have what we need for our bodies to function properly then this can lead to deficiency diseases like scurvy or beriberi.
If you are maintaining a healthy diet which consist of five servings of fruits and vegetables per day the you do not need a multivitamin.
The problem arises because most people are not even coming close to that number. So to ensure that you are getting some vitamin and mineral then it is recommended that you take a multivitamin per day. But this should not be considered a solution to you not eating your daily serving of fruits and vegetables. Some foods such as vegetables, whole grain and fiber and a combination of other important nutrients cannot be effectively absorbed through a pill or supplement.
For all the essential vitamin and mineral that our bodies need including important trace minerals you just cannot get these in the amount that your body needs in one small pill, it is virtually impossible.
You are very much deceived if you think for a moment that you can eat horrible and take your multivitamin and everything will be okay. You must maintain a healthy diet to be healthy.
If you have to choose a multivitamin because you are not eating the recommended daily serving then you will be better served by choosing a tablet that is your group. If you are man, then choose one for men and if you are a woman, choose a multivitamin for women. By choosing your group of multivitamin you will be getting the adequate nutrients and mineral that is right for you.
Take care when choosing a multivitamin. Most of the pills that are on the shelves are just a marketing campaign and has nothing to do with your health. If you are not sure which brand is the best one for you seek the advice of your doctor or a nutritionist.
These professionals will be able to read past all the hype and the bogus claim and get down to the raw fact and chose a pill that is just right for you. But remember that a pill will not substitute your poor eating. You must begin to eat a healthy diet in order to maintain a healthy body.
