Contrast is important in the use of colors and while many colors are opposites they come together to form a bond that compliments each other and pleases the senses. You can find these colors on a color wheel and use this device to match certain color schemes that will appeal to both the eyes and the senses.

Many colors are derived from each other and this makes for a good match as well. Similar colors can be grouped together to express a certain tone and mood like a red carpet with lighter shades of red and even pinks to compliment it.

These same colors can also be contrasted with darker colors such as blues that give both light and dark aspects that make a room sing of comfort and joy and reveal its purpose.

There is another aspect of color that needs to be taken into consideration and that is their symbolic meaning. Colors have a meaning and our use of them reflects those meanings and adds depth to our use of them.

Colors have a way of making our world significant and meaningful. It is what artists use to give us beauty and pleasure. They use colors symbolical to represent life and give it meaning.

Colors deserve our respect and proper use. We should use them in ways that create beauty and power and reveal our inner nature as humans. Because they have meaning and visual appeal they are the most ideal method we have to express ourselves and our interests to others.
