So what are the tools that will help you make things go smoother? There are many ways that you can have everything planned and scheduled to make your days easier.
First you will want a plan. You will want to know what the short and long range goals are. The easiest way to do this is to make the yearly plan for the school year. Once you know what material you will cover for the year, you can then break it down to the monthly material to cover, then weekly and then finally daily material that needs covered to meet the yearly goal. Once you have the plan the rest will be easier.

Once you have your plan then you can make your schedule. I have found that this is easier to do by the week. You will want to make sure that you can fit all the lessons into the schedule each day. Not only will this help you cover the material that you need to, it will also help you stay on track. You will be less apt to miss and forget lessons if you have the schedule.
Most successful home schools have the plan and schedule so that they will succeed. If you consistently plan out the lessons and the daily routines it will make it easier on you and your children and everyone will be more relaxed and ready to learn.
