When home schooling a child you will not only be responsible for teaching them the material but also making sure that they know and understand the material that you taught them during that lesson. Some websites will even allow letting your children take tests online and will automatically grade them. This is a great option once in awhile because the child will also learn about using the computer and the Internet. There are a variety of tests like this online that can be timed, will give tips and make them fun and interactive helping the child learn more while taking the tests.
Making your own tests will be easier if you take notes yourself about what is being taught. Write down the questions that you can put on the test while teaching that subject then when it is time to make the test all that will be needed is writing out the questions from your notes. If the child is grade school level you will be able to download clip-art to keep their attention span while making the test less boring.
Home schooling can be fun and not only educational for the child but also the teacher. The teacher may realize that they are learning just as much or more then the student.
