When you and your partner and trying to become pregnant, it is easy to fall prey to the many unsolicited advice you are most likely to get from well-meaning friends and family. As helpful as they may sound, not all of these tips on how to get pregnant are actually factual and may be based on accounts of their personal experience, thus coincidence. Try and stay away from these beliefs:
1. Size matters.
Penis size has no relation whatsoever to a man's ability to impregnate a woman. As long as the penis has good blood supply and can stand an erection, penetration as well as ejaculation, and as long as the man has good-quality sperm of sufficient amount, size won't matter at all.

2. You won't get pregnant if you have sex in the wrong position.
There is no right or wrong sexual position when trying for a baby. Any position that allows for penetration and ejaculation is perfectly fine, but it won't matter unless the woman is fertile. If she is not, the sperm cells will only die in her body without fertilizing her ovum.
3. Orgasm must be achieved for pregnancy to become possible.
Orgasm does not have anything to do with fertility. Orgasm is the end stage of a sexual experience, but does not have any role in reproduction. A woman does not need to orgasm for her to become pregnant. If she is fertile at the time of engagement, she will most likely conceive even when she does not reach orgasm.
4. Having sex everyday will get you pregnant.
Contrary to this belief, daily sex may actually lessen a couples chances for conception. Sperm is produced once every three days, so if you have sex daily, chances are your male partner will only be depositing weak and unhealthy sperm into your body. Besides, you won't be fertile everyday anyway. If you are seriously trying to get pregnant, know when you are fertile, and have sex frequently during this period.
So what about timing? It is everything when it comes to making a baby.
To really find the perfect day to try, you will need to track your cycle for a couple of months or until you see a pattern. Ideally, a woman's most fertile days would be about 2 weeks before her next period, but women with irregular menses may also become fertile during their period.
